Our car is over 10 years old and needed an exhaust part that was built in limited quantities. Don kept checking until the supplier finally said they were available. He got it ordered, and in a 2 day turn around, the car was repaired. These guys are really good at what they do. I will recommend them to my friends.

Every time I have to have a vehicle repaired, the only place I will go is to Schall's. They are always polite and courteous to talk to. They allow you to describe the situation then they ask the right questions regarding the work so as not to waste my money on unnecessary work. This past visit I though I needed a power steering pump as well as a new battery after storing my vehicle for the winter. Turns out it only needed a new line for the steering and a good charge on the corroded terminals of the battery. I turned it in on Friday and it was done Monday at a minimal cost. This is the standard treatment I get every time I have needed any repairs at Schalls.

Don, after giving an initial excellent review, I have reduced the grade. I am seriously concerned about your leaving a plastic piece on a hot pipe which left a very concerning heated plasticodor which undoubtedly is carcinogenic. I am concerned a plastic piece was left on to burn off, where there wasn’t removed or allowed to burn off before we picked up the car. We were sitting in traffic for several minutes breathing in these vaporized plastic fumes with this horrible smell and wondering what the problem was! He said that he would look at it to see what was going on and let me know. He found out what the problem was and how much it would cost and askedme if I wanted he to fix it. Had my first experience with Schall's after finding them online when I was searching for an auto mechanic for an Audi,which is hard to come by unless you go to the dealer. They tried to help with choices to save money (very impressed with that!) and they communicated with us to keep us up-to-date on their progress. I was very happy with the personal service received. They also provided shuttle service since my wife was ill and could not drive me, thanks so much. The mechanic took enough time to research the problems and come up with a solution to several problems. I am sure he spent more time than I was charged for. This is a throwback business and I am so happy as a relative newcomer to Irondequoit to have found them. The big box stores cannot come close to this level of expertise and personal service. My search is over for car repairs.
